REGULAR FULL-TIME NURSE PRACTITIONER
Location: Four Counties Health Services
Reporting to the VP Clinical Services/CNO, the Nurse Practitioner role has primary responsibilities which include:
- Partner with the hospital to develop and provide collaborative ambulatory programs (e.g. Surgical Care and Endoscopy Clinic).
- Support the growth and expansion of new clinical programs within an advance practice role to facilitate the needs of the surrounding communities.
- Facilitate educational growth supporting rural nursing practice.
- Administrative partnership for policy review/medical directives which support collaborative practice
- Collaboration with Medical Team to support in-patient care as required.
Job Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, RN Extended Class, including liability insurance
- Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
- 5 years relevant nursing experience, preferably within an acute care hospital
- Professional memberships (RNAO, CNA), preferred
- BCLS, required
- ACLS, preferred
- PALS, TNCC preferred
- Professional competency incorporating current and relevant knowledge and research findings into clinical practice.
- Demonstrates ability to function independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
- Strong and demonstrated organizational skills, excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Demonstrates commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Demonstrated leadership as a change agent and supports education and advancement of nursing practice within the organization.
- Mentoring and educating of professional staff and students
- Computer skills in a Windows environment
- Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and documented proof of 2 Covid-19 Vaccinations
- Must provide documentation Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
