Temporary Full Time Materials Management Clerk 2
For a duration of approximately 12 months
Materials Management Department
Job Duties
- Position available immediately
- Full time position, Monday through Friday 8-4 (hours depending on department needs)
- Focus will be Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital
- Responsible for checking, receiving, recording, and stocking of supplies in all nursing and diagnostic departments
- Responsible for checking requisitions for completeness and accuracy and obtain missing information where required
- Preparing Purchase Orders for medical surgical supplies, equipment and instrumentation
- Responsible for any vendor shipping discrepancies and resolve invoice discrepancies with accounts payable
- General departmental deliveries and shipping, sorting incoming and posting outgoing mail.
- General problem solving with vendors and hospital staff inquiries
- Add new items to and update existing data base
- Ability to source products
- Keep the Team Leader informed of all activities and issues
- Responsible for monthly safety inspections
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- Medical Terminology Course
- Proven computer skills in a Windows environment using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Knowledge of McKesson Supply Chain Pathways to Materials Management (PMM) program-par level, item manager, requisitioning, purchasing, invoice matching
- Operational knowledge of
- Candidate to possess the physical ability to regularly lift up to 16kg
- Understanding of, and attention to the use of good body mechanics
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, organizational, communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
- High energy level, with the ability to meet deadlines, balance priorities.
- Excellence in attendance
- Candidate must provide own means of transportation
