CASUAL PART-TIME CLERK
Health Records Department
Job Duties:
- Complete Circle of Care Requests for Release of Information
- Answer all incoming phone calls
- Assembly of charts
- Run reports ad hoc
- Audits/corrections of registration data
- Create schedules and vacation calendars
- File emergency, outpatient/clinic visits, as well as laboratory, radiology and ECG reports into the permanent terminal digit folder
- Electronically associate using profile tracking and physically combine inpatient and one day stay visits into permanent chart
- Provide departments with charts upon request
- Pull pre-operative and clinic charts for patient care
- Monitor misfiled folders and attempt to locate
- Back up for transcription
- Back up for registration
- Position Available immediately
Job Qualifications:
- Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
- Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 3 months
- Secondary School Diploma required
- Graduate of a Medical Administrative Assistant program required or equivalent in job experience required
- Computer skills in a “Windows” based environment, including Excel, Word, First Net and Access required
- Medical Terminology course required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service oriented communication skills
- Self-directed and demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
- Must be well organized, able to prioritize workflow, work independently with attention to detail, work effectively in a team environment and have strong communication skills
- Demonstrated Excellence in Attendance
