TEMPORARY FULL-TIME COMPOSITE REGISTERED NURSE
Emergency & Medial (One South) Department
- Available for all shifts (11.25 and 7.5 hrs.) including Days, Nights, weekends, statutory holidays, and call-in
- Position Available Immediately
Essential Qualifications
- Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
- Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 3 months
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Demonstrates skill, knowledge and ability to practice up to full scope in Ontario
- Emergency nursing experience preferred
- Previous (2) year Adult Critical Care Nursing within the past 3 years preferred
- Previous (2) year ventilator and NIV experience within the past 3 years preferred
- CTAS triage certificate of training within the past 2 years preferred
- Current BLS-HCP required
- Current ACLS required
- Current TNCC, ENPC,NRP preferred
- ECG Interpretation certificate preferred
- Emergency Nursing and/or Critical Care certificate preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of critical care and emergency nursing standards
- Experience in the management of wounds and PICC lines
- Demonstrated proficiency in IV initiation, assessment and documentation
- Demonstrated awareness of CNO documentation standards with experience in Electronic Health Record environment
- CERNER, First Net Experience preferred
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and self-directed learning
- Demonstrated ability to assess concurrent demands, set priorities, organize work and maintain accuracy and concentration during periods of high activity
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, critical thinking skills and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an active member of the health care team
- Demonstrated excellence in attendance
- Understanding and use of good body mechanics
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical directives and delegated medical acts
- Demonstrated ability to both lead and collaborate as a team member in a patient family and centered care setting
- Proficient computer skills in a Windows and Cerner based environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement and ability to foster change
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service
