COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over on Active Care Nursing Unit at FCHS

The Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) is pleased to announce that the COVID‐19 outbreak on the Acute Care Nursing Unit at Four Counties Health Services has been declared resolved by the Middlesex‐London Health Unit (MLHU).

The teamwork and collaboration required across both MHA sites and between departments was evident during the outbreak. MHA extends sincere thanks to all staff and physicians for their continued dedication to ensure all patients receive safe, high quality care. We are appreciative of the MHA Management and Infection Prevention and Control teams for their expertise and close collaboration with the Middlesex‐London Health Unit, which helped bring this outbreak to a close.

While the outbreak resolution is welcome, we must continue to be diligent and maintain infection prevention and control strategies to keep our patients, staff and physicians safe. This includes screening for symptoms and staying home when you are sick, hand hygiene, distancing, visitor limitations and the use of personal protective equipment including masks by healthcare workers, patients and visitors.

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing commitment to provide exceptional patient care, and doing your part to keep our patients, employees and physicians safe
