CASUAL PART-TIME PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – 2 positions

Job Duties

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited  Pharmacy Technician Program
  • Registered & Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Minimum of 2 years  hospital pharmacy experience (including sterile compounding) and/or community pharmacy experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Cerner systems preferred
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients and other health care professionals
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail particularly in the areas of computer order entry, mathematical calculations, IV admixture, compounding, and prescription filling
  • Knowledge and experience with pharmacy ordering and inventory
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to change
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and initiative to work independently as an effective team member
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in attendance
  • Basic computer skills in a “windows” environment
  • Understanding and use of good body mechanics
  • Proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) or vaccination records and proof of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Record for Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
  • Successful candidate may be required to work at Four Counties Site as well as the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, reliable transportation required
