Middlesex Hospital Announces Vice President Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

(Strathroy, ON) The Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Krista Shea to the position of Vice President (VP) Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Four Counties Health Services effective July 17, 2023.

Krista has been serving in the interim position of Vice President (VP) Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) since December 2022 and joined the MHA team in March 2021, as the Patient Care Manager for Inpatient Medicine, ICU and Respiratory Therapy. Julie McBrien, President and CEO of the MHA, commented, “Following a recruitment process with interest from talented leaders, it was clear that Krista has been excelling in the interim VP and CNO role, and she is the right choice for the MHA now and as we look to the future. I personally value Krista’s commitment to quality care and experiences and her dedication to the MHA’s values. I look forward to leading the MHA with her. ”

With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector, Krista brings a wealth of expertise to the position. As a Registered Nurse (RN), she has held leadership roles at London Health Sciences Centre and Sunnybrook Health Sciences in Toronto. Throughout her career, Krista has been actively involved in corporate quality and safety initiatives, regulatory activities, and policy development in nursing. Her clinical experience includes working in the Critical Care Trauma Centre and Vascular Surgery units. Krista holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University and is working towards her Masters of Science through Walden University.

Krista Shea expressed her enthusiasm for the future, stating, “I am thrilled to continue my journey with MHA. This is an incredible opportunity, and I eagerly anticipate collaborating with the MHA team as we strive to deliver the highest quality healthcare, just as we would expect for our own families.”
