November 11, 2024 – At the MHA, we are so grateful for the sacrifices of our veterans, and on behalf of our 500+ staff members and physicians, we thank them for their service and dedication to our country. We have arranged the following activities of appreciation for Veterans Week (November 11-15) and Remembrance Day (November 11):
November 2024 – Remembrance Day banners will be displayed on the exteriors of our hospitals all month long.
November 7 – A Remembrance Day Service was hosted at Four Counties Health Services.
November 11 – Flags will fly at half-mast and a moment of silence will be observed at 11am at both hospitals. Poppies are also available for all MHA staff and physicians at both sites, and the MHA senior leaders will also be laying a wreath at the Strathroy cenotaph and participating in the Remembrance Day ceremony.
We hope that members of the community are able to find an opportunity this week to reflect, remember, and honour our veterans. For more information and resources about Veterans Week and Remembrance Day: Learning resources – Veterans Affairs Canada
