Strathroy, ON – January 22, 2025 – This respiratory season, ensuring the safety of our patients, families/visitors, staff and physicians continues to be our top priority. Across the region we are experiencing an increase in respiratory virus transmission, and we have identified two (2) potential patient transmissions of COVID‐19. Effective today, the Middlesex London Health Unit has declared an outbreak of COVID‐19 on our One South Medical unit.
MHA is working in close conjunction with the Middlesex ‐ London Health Unit (MLHU) to ensure all appropriate measures are in place. The MHA Infection Prevention and Control Specialist and MHA leadership teams are monitoring the situation closely.
The unit is still accepting admissions and visitors are permitted however masks are required by ALL MHA staff, physicians, and visitors at all times while on 1 South.
